His second book "Outposted", published just recently, covers his entire career which brought him from early beginnings in banking in Belgium through all the countries listed above. While certain locations are typical for the banking profession, he was also based in more unlikely locations where he encountered severe financial crises (Mongolia and Sri Lanka) as well as violent political uprisings, such as the demise of Suharto in Indonesia as well as the Euromaidan crisis in Ukraine. This rare experience allows him to provide unique insights relevant to the situations faced in that country today...
